Explosion protection without compromise

In explosion protection, areas where explosive atmospheres may occur are divided into zones. This zoning describes how often and for how long an explosive atmosphere is present. A distinction is made between gas and vapor atmospheres (zones 0, 1, 2) and dust atmospheres (zones 20, 21, 22). Devices used in these areas must be certified accordingly.

Our products at pi safety cover all relevant zones and are IECEx and ATEX certified, among others. This means we offer maximum planning reliability for plant manufacturers and OEMs.

Our actuators are specially designed for zones 1, 2, 21, and 22, and our sensors are even designed for zones 0, 1, 2, 21, and 22.

It can happen that zones change in the area of application. With pi safety, everything remains compatible: our devices cover several zones at the same time and adapt to your requirements.

Other suppliers? Some of our competitors differentiate between individual zones in their product range. A change in zone classification can therefore mean a complete replacement of devices. With us, it's different: invest once, stay safe in the long term.
